Problem.

Forno Bravo is a restaurant with 7 branches located in the center of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, during workdays, most of their customers are going to the place in work hours, the problem is that Santo Domingo is a very crowded city, and a lot of the customers stop buying in Forno Bravo because of the commute from their office to the restaurant.

I wanted to design an app that allows the people to make their delivery or pickup orders, making Forno bravo recover all the orders that they lose because of the commute and transportation problems.

Users.

I was related as a customer but I decided to survey and investigate a small group of 10 people to come out with the personas, so let me introduce you to one of the personas, Martin Taveras.

Interaction.

The research shows up that the personas don’t have all the time in the world to order their food, in fact, they need to reduce the time making the order, so the interaction needs to be simple, fast, and intuitive.

The most valuable thing for the customers about the brand is the feeling of fresh and homemade food.

In order to reflect that the app will have to make them feel the same way about the food, at the moment that they order their meals, so they will have this sensation through good and real pictures of the food.

Visuals.

Solution.

When the prototyping phase was completed the initial focus group tried it and 91% of then were completely satisfied with this solution for their actual problem.

The UI was inspired by other delivery apps but always with the intention of maintaining the nature and essence of the brand. That project was important because it allowed me to translate the knowledge I got from Graphic Design and User Research and come out with those solutions.
